How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → tap Science Bowl Coach → tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open the app → if the paywall appears, tap Restore Purchases. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID, your subscription will be restored immediately at no charge.

Does the app work on iPad?

Yes — Science Bowl Coach fully supports both iPhone and iPad. Your subscription covers both devices with the same Apple ID.

The Buzz-In button isn't working — what should I do?

The Buzz-In feature requires microphone and speech recognition permissions. Go to Settings → Science Bowl Coach and make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are both enabled. Also make sure you are in Listen Mode (the toggle in the top right of the quiz screen).

The app isn't speaking questions aloud — how do I fix it?

Make sure you have toggled to Listen Mode using the Watch/Listen toggle in the top right corner of the quiz screen. Also check that your device is not on silent mode and the volume is turned up.

How many questions does the app have?

Science Bowl Coach includes 11,334 middle school questions across 16 complete question sets, covering all 7 subjects.

Do I need an internet connection to use the app?

No — all 11,334 middle school questions are stored locally on your device. The app works fully offline. An internet connection is only required for subscription purchases.

I was charged but the app shows the paywall — what do I do?

Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall screen. If that doesn't work, contact us at support@academicbeastllc.com and we'll resolve it quickly.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Science Bowl Coach charge, and request a refund. Apple typically processes refunds within 5 business days.
